I wouldn't recommend going with anything higher than 4 TPY.Īnd of course there's plenty of cosmetic mods that change appearances of soldiers, environments etc but I'll leave those to you since it's a matter of taste. Do what you want, but these mods make the game unbalanced by making your generals essentially immortal (lifespan of 1,000+ turns). I have to say that I want to explicitly recommend against 12 or 24 Turns Per Year mods that someone else is suggesting. Talents, Traits & Toadies - massive improvement to the RPG system for agents and generals, making your characters capable of becoming much more specialized Grand Campaign on Updated Map 4TPY - makes the Grand Campaign use the newer and arguably better Imperator Augustus province and settlement layout, w/ 4TPY Sebidee Missile Knockdown - makes projectiles slow and knock down victims - adds more of a sense of weight and realism. Sebidee Mercenary Warfare - makes mercenaries more plentiful to represent their importance during this time period.Sebidee Roster Overhaul - adds lots of immersive, balanced units to all playable factions.If you do end up with more interest in Divide et Impera, check out this intro video by RepublicofPlay to see if it's something you might like, but in the meantime I'll just suggest 'base game plus' kind of mods. I love DeI, and it is frankly the best overhaul, but it looks to me more like you want small modular changes that you can combine rather than a big package of changes. Think we missed one?
